Re: How can I connect to a DB from my mini-app?

We need to better understand the question/requirement. It is about allowing mini app to store objects in the HPA DB, or simply have the mini app data source be of DB type?

Re: How can I connect to a DB from my mini-app?

Can we use straight Hibernate, JPA, Spring Data, ... from our service to any external data source reachable from the server?

I know on the real server there's SQL Server underneath.

Re: How can I connect to a DB from my mini-app?

You do it just as you would from a regular Java server side

The context is the latter: connecting to an external data source.

Re: How can I connect to a DB from my mini-app?

If you would like to connect to an external data source from your app, you can do it by defining data source of DB type and approaching this data source in regular manner. Though preferable solution would be to access your app backend by the protocol (ex. REST) and then access the data source from the backend.
