Agile Manager requires the users in the project to be in the same domain.
Please share your needs, if this is not the case for you.

I can see the value of that restriction as an optional security measure, but there are many projects that use outside contractors or even open source projects with contributors from all over which would need more openness than this.

Makes sense, but when someone joins the team as a contractor, s/he will have to have the company's email anyway, right? For example to be included in the email distribution lists and to be visible in the company's contacts.
I am interested to get feedback from the community members. Do you have contractors that work as part of your team, and do not have a company email?

I just tried a slightly different email address to add and it failed too.
I'm guessing that the hyphen is getting flagged as an incorrect email address character.

My suggestion would be to enforce the appropriate RFC standards and nothing more - don't want to be too "nanny-ish", it just leads to problems and feature change requests....

This is a known issue which we will resolve in one of our next updates.
As a workaround - add the user through the Saas Portal and then login to agile manager configuration and select "include users from portal"
