Hungry For SaaS?

As Software as a Service matures, more and more applications can be "ordered out" instead of "made from scratch". Yet there is a third way to leverage SaaS that still allows for a level of security, compliance, and complexity most common to on-premise solutions.

Cloud Matures

The cloud market is maturing fast. What happens as markets mature: 1) standardization and 2) consolidation.

HP is fully immersed in cloud computing.  Cloud is one of the major areas of focus for our R&D team and we have various engineering and product development teams across a variety of disciplines working to further cloud computing.  As a result, cloud is a big topic here.  I thought you might be interested in some of the other HP cloud blogs and news published.

Why businesses of all sizes have their heads in the cloud

Recently a couple of articles have pointed out that cloud computing is ideally suited not just to enterprises but for the midsize and the small business as well.  Here's why.

How-to and best practice presentations on Cloud, SaaS now available

At our recent HP Software Universe held in June in Washington, D.C. some of the best attended sessions focused on Cloud and SaaS, including sessions on data protection in the cloud, security in the cloud, best practices in the cloud and more. There were even several sessions tailored to the telecom industry and how this industry can become public cloud providers.

But never fear, if you missed Software Universe, you can still view all the presentations on cloud and software-as-service. Our social media team just posted a number of these presentations on the HP Software Solutions channel on SlideShare.  I thought you might be interested in viewing them. Some are presentations by customers, some by HP Software & Solutions experts and others by industry experts.

And, if your interests lie beyond just cloud computing, choose from any of the 187 presentations now available to the world on

Let us know if you found these presentations useful and if you would like us to continue posting them.

SaaS Is Dead. Long Live SaaS!

Over the rumble of the tremendous growth of SaaS over the past decade, there can be heard a distant stirring of voices in the software industry that says SaaS, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, is in fact ‘dead’. SaaS becomes mainstream; Tips to keep in mind when jumping on the bandwagon

According to new research reports, more and more companies are turning to SaaS. If you are interested in exploring what SaaS can do to help your company, large or small, here are some tips and tricks HP customers have shared with us.

What we can learn from the government about cloud computing

Cloud computing holds great promise to bring down the cost of government and improve the efficiency of government computing. While the U.S. federal government admits it has a large technology gap it needs to address, there have been a couple of fascinating reports published recently that showcase how cloud computing can benefit the public sector and taxpayers.
