You asked. We answer: This Week in Cloud video #6 discusses cloud and IT supply chain

In the sixth video answering questions you asked us about cloud computing, HP's Christian Verstraete (a.k.a. - The HP Cloud Source , @christanve) and HP's Paul Muller (@xthestreams) delve into the IT supply chain considerations when moving to cloud computing. The short video also offers answers and insight into the following topics:

  • Points for thought around business and IT alignment and KPI's, and navigating the related issues and challenges for IT professionals considering cloud.
  • Converged cloud solutions based on and leveraging existing, well-built foundations.
  • The changing nature of the relationship between business and IT, and it's impact on bringing applications and innovations to market faster.
  • Potential found in leveraging the cloud solutions based upon the proven supply-chain operational reference model and related techniques.
  • Cloud service provisioning to achieve Perfect Order Fulfillment.

In addition the two HP evangelists recommend a couple of white papers that outline the steps you can follow to make moving to the cloud easier.
