It’s that time of year where we are all preparing for the hottest (literally) showcase event on the calendar and that is HP Discover 2014 at The Venetian |Palazzo Resort Las Vegas

You may not see me in the casino much, during my time in Las Vegas. However you will find me at the many HP Automation and Cloud Management sessions during the three-day period, so I thought I would provide you my usual glimpse into the solutions that you can experience at the event.

Starting with what’s new from HP, make sure you attend the following to get the latest information on all things Automation, Orchestration and Cloud Management:

TB3255

Automate your data center – today! (HP Automation solutions)

DT3248

Get the latest scoop on HP Server Automation and Automation Insight

TB3256

Orchestrate your way to being an ITsuperstar

DT3249

What’s new with HP Operations Orchestration!

TB3253

Service designing for the Cloud

DT3252

What’s new with HP Cloud Service Automation!

BB3287

Automate and build platform-as-a-service for the private cloud

BB3336

Cloud Analytics – Transparency for the IT cloud service broker

As well as hearing from HP, I know that you want to hear from our customers and partners, so I highly recommend that you attend the following sessions:

BB3257

Allstate’s five step plan for building a culture of excellence in IT Process Automation

BB3278

Automation helps you manage work-life balance

BB3281

Enterprise orchestration in the cloud age

BB3282

A practitioner’s journey with HP Operations Orchestration

Another format that always proves to be popular are the customer roundtables.  Based on the demand from previous shows, we have scheduled ten sessions. These are hosted by HP and give you the opportunity to meet like-minded customers to discuss and validate implementations of HP Automation and Cloud Management products and solutions.

RT3312

IT automation-as-a-solution today!

RT3313

Compliance automation

RT3314

Operational intelligence for the data center

RT3315

Application provisioning and patching automation

RT3316

Orchestrating for the right solution

RT3317

End-to-end enterprise orchestration and process automation with HP OO

RT3318

HP Enterprise Maps – A paradigm shift

RT3319

Transform service delivery with HP Hybrid Cloud Management

RT3320

Creating proof of concept for the cloud

RT3321

Taking the application release process to new levels

My next recommendation is a new format - the HP Discussion Forum, which we first introduced in HP Discover Barcelona last year. Given the success of the forum, we are bringing to this event. These sessions are held in the Discover Zone very close to the Software Pavilion and they give you an opportunity to discuss the latest releases with HP Product Managers before heading to see the demos in the Automation and Cloud Management zone.

DF3284

Build and manage an OpenStack private clouds with HP Software and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack platform

DF3297

New! HP Operations Orchestration Community Edition

DF3299

Managing SOA architecture in a complex IT environment

DF3000

Cloud service planning, architecture, and design

DF3302

HP Database & Middleware Automation (DMA) offers PaaS for hybrid cloud environments

DF3303

The role of open source software in Enterprise IT

If you want to get your hands on a new community edition focused on application delivery then you should register for session HOL3293 where you will also walk away with a complimentary software download.

After you have been to one of the discussion forums, I know where you should head next and that is the Software Pavilion in the Discover Zone.  As always we will be showing some great demos of the latest releases. This is also an opportunity to meet our subject matter experts.  In this area you will find our Guru Bar where you can get technical expertise on your Automation and Cloud Management implementations.

This should keep you busy enough for three days, although I am sure you will still find some time to enjoy other parts Las Vegas!

I look forward to seeing you at the show and be sure to tweet about your experience with us using #HPHelion #HPACM
