Most popular Grounded in the Cloud blogs of 2010

It’s that time of year when you see a lot of “top ten this” and “top ten that” lists.  So I thought I would research which Grounded in the Cloud blog posts were the most popular in 2010.   I haven’t ranked them in a particular order because some of them are very close and the traffic counts vary from day to day.

Drum roll, please.  Here are the ten most popular Grounded in the Cloud blog posts of 2010:

  • Another blog with the most readership featured a video and information about HP’s new government cloud lab in Bristol, UK.  The G-Cloud demonstrator is housed in a state-of-the-art innovation theatre where HP researchers will brainstorm with government and enterprise customers as they develop a cloud infrastructure with government grade security along with the flexibility and efficiency that has made cloud such a phenomenon in IT circles.

  • The importance of setting up strong governance for your cloud implementations  was also a favorite 2010 Grounded in the Cloud post.  The article explained why you need a fully-functioning system of management, a strong project plan and precision of execution for a successful cloud program.

Four of Laura Mackey’s “Around the HP cloud” blogs landed in our top ten most read.  This series of blog posts gives you a quick snapshot of what is happening across HP in the arena of cloud computing, SaaS and hybrid delivery.  Here are the links to Laura’s most popular posts:

  • Another frequent contributor to Grounded in the Cloud is Natalie Figge.  Natalie’s post, Does cloud have a silver lining?” was also one of the most read posts in 2010.   In this article Natalie explores the two features that make cloud special.

  • Jim Gardner’s Of Saabs and SaaS”  was another top ten Grounded in the Cloud post in 2010.  What in the world do Saabs and SaaS have in common besides their alliterative spellings?  More than you think, but you will have to read the article to learn more.
