It’s a Bright Horizon for HP, OpenStack and HP Cloud OS

At the OpenStack® Summit in Hong Kong this morning, HP  announced the industry’s first commercially available public cloud management console using the OpenStack Horizon dashboard as part of the HP Public Cloud. This new console enables IT administrators to more easily manage their public cloud services, such as compute and storage with technology built by and for the OpenStack community. HP also announced today the enhanced HP Cloud OS technology preview, providing simplified, enterprise-grade OpenStack for hybrid cloud delivery.

“With proprietary offerings, cloud users are trapped in single-vendor solutions, hindering industry collaboration and, therefore, innovation,” said Saar Gillai, Senior Vice President and General Manager, HP Cloud. “HP’s partnership with the OpenStack Foundation enables us to be at the forefront of cloud innovation, but allows us to enhance our offerings to provide our customers with open, enterprise-grade cloud solutions and services to thrive in today’s hybrid world.”
