Interested in joining a virtual Converged Cloud Tech Day in Puerto Rico?

I know, joining a virtual meeting that is being hosted in San Juan, Puerto Rico is probably not your first choice, as I am sure you would prefer to be there is person. But if you are interested in taking a technology tour of HP’s Converged Cloud, this will be of interest to you. If you have been following me, you will know that every 6 months or so HP invites a group of industry bloggers to come into HP to gain a very deep product view of our technology. For instance, we have run tech days spotlighting HP 3Par storage and late last year we ran an event that focused around the new Gen 8 Proliant servers amongst others.

I like these styles of events, as it allows HP to showcase technology outside of a sales or marketing bias, allowing technology bloggers to form their own opinions and insights. It can be risky for HP, as not everyone attending writes a favorable review about what they have seen and heard, but liking what they have seen or not, the event is always appreciated by the bloggers as they get a chance to speak to our subject matter experts and see a side of HP that not a lot of people get a chance to witness.

The event next week in Puerto Rico is no different. We start the day and spend two hours on HP’s Converged Cloud strategy and discussing how all the HP cloud components within the portfolio all work together, regardless of if you are building, managing or consuming cloud services. This is key session to attend, as it sets up all the other sessions that follow for the next two days.

After lunch we will continue to explore other areas like, HP Networking and Cloud Security, Managing the cloud with HP Software, Servers that run the cloud and then finishing up the first day with connecting the dots within Converged Infrastructure.

Day two we travel to Aguadilla where there is a HP facility, which we will host sessions on HP Cloud Storage, HP Converged Cloud reference architecture which comes in via HP Halo technology…a very cool way to host interactive video conferences.

There is a tour of HP Datacenter in the afternoon, followed by a couple of sessions with resident R&D groups that were responsible for developing Thermal Zone Mapping technology. All sessions will be very interactive and will be captured over live steaming video, which I would encourage anybody interested to join.

Check out this link which takes you to a summary of the event that Andy McCaskey of SDRNews and I tapped this past Friday. At the site you can see where you can join the live streaming on Tuesday and Wednesday and be a part of the online sessions, where you will be allow you to ask questions and receive answers from the group.
