HP Atalla Brings New Encryption Capabilities to HP Helion

Earlier today, HP released a new Atalla solution for the safeguarding of sensitive data in the cloud. HP Atalla Cloud Encryption delivers trust in the cloud through key management, robust key encryption, and integration. It combines partially homomorphic split-key encryption with patented key management to protect critical data in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.

Secure encryption is critical to hybrid cloud computing. Encryption itself can be relatively simple but key management is extremely difficult. The HP Atalla suite also includes HP Enterprise Secure Key Manager (ESKM) 4.0 and Information Protection and Control which combine to unify and automate encryption controls to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data. Given that HP Helion is designed for distributed computing, these products reduces the cost and complexity of managing encryption keys across a distributed infrastructure and offers consistent security controls, automated key services and a single point of management

Today, HP Atalla is deployable on HP Helion Public Cloud. HP Helion Public cloud uses Atalla ESKM for FIPS compliant key management supporting OpenStack keystone identify management.

As an increasing number of large enterprises and government organizations turn to private cloud technology, ultra tight security will be required at the core, especially to meet regulatory compliance for data protection. HP Atalla supports many of the most strict government and industry standards today including ANSI X9F, FIPS, PCI-DSS, and PTS-HSM.

HP Helion is ready to secure your most sensitive networks and protect your most sensitive information. Stay tuned.
