Expanding the HP CloudSystem Ecosystem

To drill into the detail a little more around the HP announcement event in Singapore Oct 18th, specifically around cloud, you will find new set of services and solutions that empower service providers and enterprises to rapidly deliver cloud services while leveraging existing investments, minimizing risk and lowering costs.

To provide a little more insight on these new programs, here’s a summary.

CloudSystem Financing

The new program improves cash flow for enterprises and service providers with financing options to avoid upfront capital expenditures when building cloud environments. This is part of the company’s program to provide up to $2 billion in financing for cloud projects that HP earlier announced in June.

Qualified customers can choose a payment plan that can allow them to build their cloud environments without large upfront capital expenditures, starting as low as $9,500/month* for an entry HP CloudSystem configuration including software, services and infrastructure. This is critical for CFOs and CIOs looking for predictability with their IT investments.

Additionally, as part of the HP CloudAgile program for qualified service providers, HP can offer a step payment plan, where payments start small and increase over six to 12 months, so those service providers can ramp their business and better align expenditures with revenue growth.

* Monthly payments may be as low as $9,500 a month for qualified customers. Pricing based on $340,000 estimated purchase price for HP CloudSystem Matrix configuration and a lease term of 36 months with a fair market value purchase option at the end of the term.  The HP CloudSystem Matrix configuration includes 8 ProLiant server blades, an HP EVA with 5.4 TB of storage and the Matrix Operating Environment.

CloudSystem Enablement Services

These newly designed packaged services, complementing initial product installation and configuration services, accelerate the build-out of clients’ first set of cloud services on the HP CloudSystem Matrix, Enterprise and Service Provider platforms. Based on HP’s cloud consulting and deep technology implementation expertise, these services help organizations become fully operational, enterprise-ready cloud environments.

HP AllianceONE resource center for CloudSystem

These new program makes it easier for independent software vendors, systems integrators and service providers to quickly adopt cloud computing.  It is open to all HP AllianceONE partners to help answer common developer questions on topics like enterprise integration, cloud customization and security through whitepapers, sample code, video demonstrations and expert tips.  The program also includes a toolkit for developers to design and extend cloud services running on HP CloudSystem. HP will continue expand this community not only just from content created from HP, but also from its partners.

HP Cloud Centers of Excellence

These new cloud centers allow key HP channel partners to provide clients firsthand knowledge of the benefits of cloud computing technologies, such as accelerated service delivery and operational efficiency, as well as allow clients to more easily evaluate, test and deploy cloud-based solutions while evaluating their optimal path to the cloud.

HP has 100 of these centers around the world including 50 locations across Asia Pacific region. This equates to a $5 million investment in these environments, all of which all feature HP CloudSystem as well as other HP Converged Infrastructure solutions and cloud automation software.

As cloud consumers, the cloud is clearly playing a greater part in our daily work activities, and as clients become ready, HP is committed to help transition their businesses into the cloud.
