Discover the cloud at HP DISCOVER 2011 in Las Vegas; early-bird discount pricing ends soon

venetian.jpgYou’ve probably heard all about HP Discover 2011.  The multiday event– which combines HP Technology Forum and HP Software Universe Americas into a single event – takes place at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas during the week of June 6, 2011.  You might be asking, “Does HP have any cloud presentations at HP Discover?" The answer is a resounding, YES—nearly 100 cloud-related sessions are scheduled.

What’s really cool is that this year the event catalog features an advanced search and sorting function. You can visit the Website and preview what sessions will be presented at the conference.  So finding sessions is easy. For example, I searched on “cloud” using the pull down list.  I got a listing of nealry 100 sessions.  Then you can drill down further.  For example, under the topic of ‘cloud security’, there are several breakout sessions to choose from.  Here are just a few:

  • 360 degree approach to cloud security
  • Cloud security challenges and how to manage them
  • Security and cloud: not an oxymoron with vShield and Tipping Point
  • Managing and securing applications in the cloud
  • Protecting virtual and cloud environments
  • catalog advanced search.jpg

But there’s a lot more to Discover 2011 than cloud sessions. The multiday event offers sessions on application transformation, information optimization, mobile devices, global data centers, security, hybrid delivery and, of course, cloud computing. In addition, the event will feature end-user roadmaps for HP’s portfolio, including services, automation and management software, servers, storage and networking.  You can gain experience with hands-on demonstrations as well as participate in valuable technical training, education and certification courses across HP’s products, solutions and services. Perhaps most important is the opportunity to network with thousands of your peers.

And you won’t want to miss the closing ceremonies featuring legendary entertainer Paul McCartney. That’s right, the former Beatle is scheduled to perform at a special event open only to HP Discover 2011 attendees.

Hurry, register before March 31st  for early-bird pricing!   Additional information about HP Discover Americas is available at www.hp.com/go/discover.
