HP Discover 2013: Tales from the (Discovery Zone) floor

It has been an exciting, busy month at HP Autonomy. After the IRCE tradeshow in Chicago last week, I’m now privileged to Discover Infographic.jpgbe blogging at HP Discover in the very hot Las Vegas.


Here at HP Discover, more than 8,000 customers from 90 countries are gathered to learn about the most innovative and trending topics in the industry today, including Big Data, Cloud, Mobility, Security and more. After just one day, I can say with confidence, this event has exceeded my expectations.


It is clear from the first moment you enter the “Discover Zone” exhibition floor that HP in my opinion is truly, one of the world’s great technology companies. The Software Pavilion alone is vast in its offerings, yet it shares the floor with equally significant areas such as Converged Cloud, Mobility, Converged Infrastructure, Security & Risk Management, and of course, Printing & Personal Systems.


If you were at today’s event, you would have found me at our Digital Marketing solutions booth, where we have an impressive story to tell about our industry-leading marketing optimization solutions, including web content management, website optimization and multichannel analytics. This is just one demo booth among hundreds, each one presenting an incredible proven, technology solution.


One of the most popular demos to check out is The Pulse: Social Media Command Center. This is our on-site, live case study of the social media monitoring solution that HP Autonomy has enabled for companies like NASCAR.


What better way to show this than by example? We’re monitoring the buzz around HP Discover itself in real time then taking this data and turning it into infographics which highlight emerging trends. These graphics and data will be made available to be included in blogs and tweets from attendees, thus amplifying the buzz generated at the event.
