need help on setting up modem for dial-out

hello,

i have a hayes modem connected to a serial port mdp. i am running hp 10.20 . i
would like some help in what files i need to modify in order to enable this
modem to
dial out. i have the device configured as a dial out device which i did through
sam. now i need to know what
else i need to do.

If you want to use the cu command to access the modem for dialing out, you need
to add an entry for it to the file /etc/uucp/Devices (which contains examples).

An entry must also be added if you wish to use ACU.
