Object Spy using QTP 11 is not spying the objects correctly on WIndows 7 64 bit  and IE8.

Link Objects, Edit Objects are not recognized as Link and Web edit objects, instead it recognizes these objects as webelement objects.

1. Run/ Launch IE from the QTP itself.  Automation -> Record and Run Settings then under Web Tab specify your Web URL and start recording. Object Spy and QTP should be able to identify the Web Objects.

3. Run QTP as Administrator

2. Make sure you IE's Zoom Level is set to 100%

I am using QTP 11 with .Net and WPF add ins. My desktop application is using .net 4.0 datagrid. But object spy is not able to recognize the data grid. It recognizes it as WPFObject (WpfObject("DataGrid1")). So, I am not able to use any of the methods.

I will be really thankful who will help me to solve the issue.

Thanks for your reply. I have added QTPNET_00120 for WPF Add-in sd well as some other .NET Add-in fixes in win 7 32 bit. Please let me know whether there are any other patches available. Then also this issue occurs for data grid. But QTP is able to recognize all other WPF objects like edit box, tree view etc.
I am not able to proceed. Please send me the solution.
