On my OfficeJet Pro 8600, my laptop always does a diagnostic test when I try to fax. It's telling me that I am not using the correct type of phone cord with the fax. In actuality, I have a sound system in my house that changes my dial tone. The phones work fine and when I try to fax directly from the 8600, it faxes fine. But when I fax directly from my MacBook Air, it runs through a diagnostic test causing it to fail because it doesn't recognize the dial tone (even though the tone works fine). Please help!!!! Any ideas?
