The Big Data 20/20 chapter is now published. It contains chapters on:

  • Analytics for the people and 360-degree data views
  • Everything is an experiment - using big data to quickly and accurately adjust your "products"
  • Augmenting humans - how big data will be used to increase the gearing of information workers
  • Predict and adjust - using big data to proactively recognise patterns, thus allowing us to predict and adjust to avoid bad things and maximize good things
  • Privacy in 2020 - big data will most certainly improve our lives. But we must balance its use with our need for privacy

MWC 2014 sessions capture key strategies for enterprise mobile applications

Mobility presents a significant opportunity for enterprise IT to deliver more value to the business through solutions, data, and applications, but it also introduces much greater complexity. You need forward-looking strategies and specialized tools and skills to develop enterprise mobile apps that support BYOD and the expectations of your users—while properly managing and securing the data.

To bring you some great ideas on using mobility to transform your business, we’ve gathered links to videos of eight sessions HP presented at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.

Backstage with HP Software at RSA Conference 2014, Mobile World Congress, more!

RSA.jpg

We often find great content on other HP online destinations, and from time to time, we share them with you right here. In the past few weeks, we’ve seen some great coverage of Mobile Word Congress, the RSA Conference 2014 and some great thought leadership from the HP Security Products blog.

If you couldn’t get to San Francisco for the RSA Conference 2014 late last month, fear not—Backstage with HP Software brings you highlights with plenty of video coverage from the event. We suggest you start with “Stop Looking for the Silver Bullet: Start Thinking Like a Bad Guy,” in which HP's Art Gilliland, SVP and GM for Enterprise Security Products, summarizes his keynote speech from the conference (the full keynote is here). As you might recall, we featured a post about Art here recently, and—if you haven’t yet—you’ll want to check his interviews on the Discover Performance site: “Staying ahead of the cybercriminals” and “Shift to protecting what matters most.”

Here at the Discover Performance blog, we’re quite keen on the great insights we find when reading posts by our peers in the HP Software blogosphere. Starting this week, we’ll be collecting our favorite posts every other Thursday into one handy roundup.

In this edition, we explore what HP thought leaders are sharing with the community on security, Big Data, ALM and more:

The “Doc” is in at the Application Lifecycle Management and Application Transformation Blog—with a prescription for what ails your software integration efforts. HP ALM evangelist Michael “Doc” Deady previously covered the symptoms of a sickly Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). After the diagnosis, he’s back with a recovery plan to get you on the road to wellness.
