There’s a helpful tool in the latest Discover Performance ezine that evaluates the correlation between IT attributes and business success. Your answers to a handful of questions are compared with average scores, and you are rewarded for your time with advice on where to invest in IT.

The genesis of the tool was inspired by some big-picture questions: What makes one company a top performer while others lag behind? What do successful leaders do that others don’t? Those were questions HP wanted answers to—and got them, plus more data about a range of IT characteristics (server capacities, approach to information management, security, BYOD) and how they correlate to revenue gain. The answers from a survey of 650 global companies have been rolled up into the planet’s top companies reveal their IT secrets. The assessment tool compares your answers to the average scores in that study.

There are 12 questions that will require about 10 minutes of your time, and you'll receive a summary of your rating upon completion. Take a break, take the assessment and see how your IT stacks up by clicking the “Prove your value now” button at Discover Performance.
