Backstage with HP Software at RSA Conference 2014, Mobile World Congress, more!

We often find great content on other HP online destinations, and from time to time, we share them with you right here. In the past few weeks, we’ve seen some great coverage of Mobile Word Congress, the RSA Conference 2014 and some great thought leadership from the HP Security Products blog.

RSA Conference 2014

If you couldn’t get to San Francisco for the RSA Conference 2014 late last month, fear not—Backstage with HP Software brings you highlights with plenty of video coverage from the event. We suggest you start with “Stop Looking for the Silver Bullet: Start Thinking Like a Bad Guy,” in which HP's Art Gilliland, SVP and GM for Enterprise Security Products, summarizes his keynote speech from the conference (the full keynote is here). As you might recall, we featured a post about Art here recently, and—if you haven’t yet—you’ll want to check his interviews on the Discover Performance site: “Staying ahead of the cybercriminals” and “Shift to protecting what matters most.”

And don’t miss these Backstage with HP Software videos from RSA:

Best of the HP Security Products blog

Speaking of all things security, we’re big fans of the HP Security Products blog.

Director of Solutions Innovation and Services Engineering Chris Calvert explains that the “HAVEn platform is a great toolbox for big data, but the real value from big data is only realized when you actually answer a question that could never be answered before.” Chris has formulated a handy list of questions that, once answered, can help you better leverage HAVEn’s data analysis capabilities to improve your security posture.

Also on the HP Security Products blog, Security Evangelist Mark Painter sees not just one elephant in the room—but three. Check out his top concerns about the White House’s Cybersecurity Framework, and reasons businesses might not be so eager to rush toward adoption.
