DSS Upgrade/Migration

We are trying to migrate our DSS 4.65 on a Windows 2003 server to a Windows 2008 server. 4.65 would not install, but 4.91 does install.

The file formats of 4.65 are completely different from 4.91. 4.65 uses .ini files, plus SQL files for its configuration. 4.91 also uses SQL, but the database files have new names, and there are no .ini files anymore.

Is there any documentation on how to move the DSS configuration to the new server?

Re: DSS Upgrade/Migration

Yes, there is. Go to: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesI...〈=en&cc=us

Then click on the "Manuals" link.

Also, contact your HP rep. Because 4.91 is VERY new and much different from previous versions, HP is VERY interested in helping companies migrate to 4.91. They may be interested in helping you migrate.

They offered to help me to migrate without me asking them.
