Another Problem with v5 firmware

We're using RightFax for faxing with the digital senders. We upgraded a customer's three digital senders from firmware 3.00.g to 5.00.h since he wanted to be able to change the outbound message on the sender when it sends an email.

As soon as we made that change, all faxes started sending as user default rather than the actual user's name, and completely screwed up their call accounting.

These senders have been deployed for over a year without any problem and this happened immediately when we upgraded the firmware. For now, I've downgraded them back to 3.00.g which did fix the problem. Any ideas on what can be done to make 5.00.h work?

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Another Problem with v5 firmware

Mike,

There is a bug in 5.0 FW so that the only way the user name will be passed in the .hpf file is if the user logged in with their NT username and PW. There will be a fix for this soon. In the mean time they units will either need to be downgraded or they will need to setup NT authentication using IIS and either Address Book Manager or LDAP. If the Customer needs help with either of these things have them call us and we can guide them through the setup.
