Exchanging database info to a hosting party in a safe way

All,

More and more we get the question if we can exchange data from our internal Oracle HPUX database to a remote hosted MSSQL Windows database. Currently we copy a CSV file with SCP to the remote site where an import process is running. My question is are the 'better' and securrer solutions possible to keep a remote database up-to-date ?

Especially suggestions about way's of secure transport are welcome!

Info: It does not have to be a dump or somthing, a CSV file with mutations is sufficient.

Check out Heterogeneous Services.
It is by far the simplest. Good luck.
