Archive log dest using ASM disk is full

I am using ASM as the storage for the oracle database and the archivelog destination is full how do i clean it up as i can't move the files from the asm disk to the os filesystem.

Hi

as a short term solution, you could compress the archive log.
This can be done by script (check the directory and gzip all but last one)

Obviously, need to undertand the capacity requirement for the archive logs

You can delete your archivelogs from an RMAN prompt.
