-252 Dynamic Rollback MDBX error.

We run MPEix v6.0 and recently had a disk crash. On the recovery we uncovered a restore directory problem that corrupted databases. Afer running a FOS script that performed an @.@.@-@.@.@ to restore the driectires everything came back clean as a whistle with all core apps up and fine.

However, we have a web interface connecting through minisoft ODBC. The web app wraps multiple tables to do its up dates and now throws the following. "-242 Dynamic Rollback MDBX error. -- Internal errors returned from various low level procedures which handle multiple database transactions. -- Notify HP support personnel.

Re: -252 Dynamic Rollback MDBX error.

Additional info: I am looking at the TURBOGTX.PUB.SYS file. Because the current verision was lost with the LDEV1 crash and we did a bare metal restore -- the restored verison is obsolete. COuld this be a place to look?

Re: -252 Dynamic Rollback MDBX error.

Hello Ronwalashek,

The TURBOGTX.PUB.SYS file may have problem. I would suggest to purge it.

TURBOGTX: Is the Global Transaction Table (TURBOGTX.PUB.SYS). Its function is to keep track of multiple database dynamic transactions on the system. It is built by the first process on the system to call DBXBEGIN in mode 3 or 4. The file is then attached to XM and saved as a permanent file in PUB.SYS. There is one TURBOGTX file per system. It must remain on the system, after system startup, to ensure that all multiple database transactions that were in progress, at the time of the system failure are rolled back. The TURBOGTX contains an entry for each process (pin/USER) that has multiple database DBXBEGIN in progress.

Re: -252 Dynamic Rollback MDBX error.

Thnak you for the help. I used FSCHECK to purge the TURBOGTX and the first access re-created it - thanks again. Ron
