./omnisetup.sh[83]: Syntax error at line 94 : 'then' is not matched.

Hi,

I am installing DP 8.0 on HP-UX 11.31 DCOE OS on vPAR(6.0) on BL890 ic4 nPar server. After changing directory to .....LOCAL_INSTALL and executing ./omnisetup.sh -CM -IS, this is the error message that i get:

./omnisetup.sh[83]: Syntax error at line 94 : 'then' is not matched.

Please what should i do to overcome that error message challenge. Thanks.

Re: ./omnisetup.sh[83]: Syntax error at line 94 : 'then' is not matched.

What's on lines 1, 83 and 94?

I suppose there is some unset variable and the script isn't robust to protecting itself.

Please find below the script. The same is attached as well. The script is directly from HP e-delivery/e-media download. The VI editor shows 101 lines. I just put the 94th line below in Bold for your attention.

The last line and the rest of the file have been overwritten by ~ 4K of Nuls.

Get a new copy, make sure the checksums match.

Re: ./omnisetup.sh[83]: Syntax error at line 94 : 'then' is not matched.

[ Edited ]

Is it possible to download only the omnisetup.sh file/script ? Or can i get an email of it ?

Downloading the whole DP version 8.0 would be very challenging looking at the emedia size and my internet connection.

Please help.

Re: ./omnisetup.sh[83]: Syntax error at line 94 : 'then' is not matched.

If this is line 94

 if [ "$SUBPRODUCT" = "AppRM" ]; then #AppRM

just try editing the 'omnisetup.sh' file and commenting thsi line out.  Also search for any other occurrances of AppRM, and comment out those lines too

AppRm is an abandoned product, and, I believe, this should not be in the Installation script at all

I also recommend that you run the scripts 2 times once for the Cell Manager

   omnisetup.sh -CM

and one for the Installation Server

   omnisetup.sh -IS
