I already open a Service Request for this issue, but maybe someone here will be able to help me.
So, with Version A.08.00 and earlier, I was able to login with the GUI without entering any user login field request, it was using the actual logged-in user (or the one that launch the GUI at least).
Now, after I did the upgrade to A.08.10, I first get a prompt for me to accept the certificate (by the way, the CN of the certificate contain, before any characters, a /xx ... I think I should force HPDP to recreate the certification file, but didn't find how to do this).
So, I accept it, and then, it ask me to login... ok, but I try 3 logins, no one works !
I'm actually out of solution.
For information, here is what I try for the user field:
One of the login, that was working and is working, is the domain service account we use for it, but it always tell, for any value I can enter (even a login/pass that didn't exist/work): "Insufficiant permissions, access denied". Also, I get back with the GUI in French, and this isn't normal, as this new version should be english only :|
BTW, I try to install the HPDP on a PC (just the client side, but it install some server stuff too), and on it, it can log to itself, without login prompt, just the certificate to accept.
Licenses are OK on what I saw, and even without that, I should be able, at least, to log into it.
So, any idea, I take it :)
Feel free to ask me any question if I miss anything.

For to regenerate cert
Create a new certificat using the following command:
"Program Files\OmniBack\bin\perl.exe" "\Program Files\Omniback\bin\omnigencert.pl" -server_id <full qualified DNS/host name> -user_id HPDP -store_password <keystorePassword> -server_san ip:<IP address>
stop the DP services and start the services now and start the GUI localy on the cell manager.
The keystorePassword can be found at:
"\Program Files\OmniBack\bin\perl.exe" "\Program Files\OmniBack\bin\omnigencert.pl" -server_id 112TestHost.im.rt -user_id HPDP -store_password j6yDlvztgV3xP -server_san ip:10.10.1.112

I have the same issue with one difference.
Our cell manager is based on linux os and I used the following command after I stopped data protector with omnisv stop:
/usr/bin/perl /opt/omni/sbin/omnigencert.pl -server_id CM.DOMAIN.TLD -user_id hpdp -store_password secure -server_san ip:IP-address
After I started data protector with omnisv start, I tried to connect via a GUI located on a Windows Terminalserver.
But this does not work. The same failure occurs.
So, how can I start the GUI from there locally like described by JBasilio in the this thread?
