SQL Server - Fail to create a new backup.

Hi folks,

I have several servers with SQL Server 2005 and all works fine and backup is Ok.

But in one server, I can't configure the Backup Job.

When I start a New Job, I select the Client and Application database(DEFAULT), when I click on Next, the window for choose the type of connections appears.

Whichever option I select, the following error happens:

The database reported error while performing requested operation.
<Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 08001):0>
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SSL Security error
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (SECDoClientHandshake()).

Thank you.

Marcos França.

Re: SQL Server - Fail to create a new backup.

I need 2 different jobs in this server, 1 integrated with SQL and 1 with files.

The backup with files run every day in past months with success, now, I need the integrated and the the message with reported error happens.

Thank you.

Re: SQL Server - Fail to create a new backup.

Lucky me. I never seen this error so far. This seems to be an external issue to Data Protector. Please check some of those links.
