SDLT2 Tape Transportation

We have experienced media errors after shipping blanck tapes from the UK to around Europe. I'm not sure if it's to do with the conditions the tapes are shipped under or something to do with Xrays. The tapes we send are new and blank. The tapes are in cases and then boxed with bubble warp as well. Do we need a specific container for the shipping?

Any ideas on this matter would be much appreciated.

Re: SDLT2 Tape Transportation

Hi Chris,

"I'm not sure if it's to do with the conditions the tapes are shipped under" This is the root cause of damage: conditions shipped under. If you can't control it maybe you might try UPS or smething like that.

"or something to do with Xrays" Not sure but still a posibility.

"Do we need a specific container for the shipping?" Commnly the tapes ships in cases and commnly there's not an issue with that.

Hope this help.

Regards.

Re: SDLT2 Tape Transportation

Hi,

We use DHL and the tape is sent in the case it comes with and put in a box with bubble wrap.
