Restore from Object Copy - HP Data Protector 6.10

Hi Geeks, We had our backups done then an object copy is done to another external drive for our backups residing on another location incase something happens on the original backups. Now, we had an issue earlier which I really need to restore from the copy on the external drive but problem is Im just new to this and now Im stuck as hell not knowing how to restore from it.. I've tried attempts but to no avail.

Please any advise from here on how to carry out the restore from copy.

Many Thanks

Re: Restore from Object Copy - HP Data Protector 6.10

what is the error message you get? can you post a session log?

is the copy session still protected (catalog protection) or is it expired. the copy session also needs to be protected to restore from...

Re: Restore from Object Copy - HP Data Protector 6.10

When you do a restore there should be a "Copies" tab when setting it all up.  Go to this tab and select the appropriate session that you'd like to restore from and click the "Properties" button.  From there check the "Select source copy manually" box and hit ok.  This should force it to use that copy.
