Re: Issue with Oracle Backup Integration (Data Protector 6.2)

Has this worked before upgrading to 6.21? If this is the case, open a case with support. I think the error must have something to do with those RMAN messages...

RMAN-06744: specification does not match any datafile copy in the repository
RMAN-06743: specification does not match any backup set in the repository

Not sure about there meaning at the moment. Maybe your DBA can answer.

The oracle8.log should be located in C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\log on Windows 2008 or C:\Program Files\Omniback\log on Windows 2003. You should be able to find it.

Sebastian

Re: Issue with Oracle Backup Integration (Data Protector 6.2)

Hi,

Have you found the solution for "External utility reported error".

I faced a similiar problem while I was trying to take an regular incremental backup using HP Data Protector 6.20.

After checking around with google i think it has got something to do with HP Support.

If HP support is the final solution than please let me know at earliest.

Regards.

Re: Issue with Oracle Backup Integration (Data Protector 6.2)

Hi,

you may ask support for a current version of QCIM2A24591_TM3. This helped in my environments with Oracle integration.

Best regards

Daniel
