Install windows clients from Linux installation server

Hello,

I hope this is a simple question:

I have a Linux (RHEL 6.2/64) Cell- and Installationserver. I installed all the software I got from HP

(DP 6.2 StarterPack, Drive Extension, Online Extension) but I cannot install Windows Clients because

there's no client software on the installation server.

What did I miss?

Is it not possible to install windows clients from a Unix/Linux installation server?

Do I have to setup a Windows Installation Server?

So far I allways had Windows Cell Servers with a seperate installation server for the unix world.

Now I have my first Linux Cell... please give me some advice.

Greetings - Matthias

Re: Install windows clients from Linux installation server

Just setup an Windows installation server and import it into the cell. This should do the job.

Sebastian

Re: Install windows clients from Linux installation server

Thanks a lot Sebastian!

Can you give me a hint what and where to download?

Can I avoid to download the whole Windows Trialpackage with nearly 2 GB of Data?

Thanks anyway - Matthias

Re: Install windows clients from Linux installation server

You need the whole Windows kit and you should also apply the latest patch bundle available. Both can be downloaded from http://support.openview.hp.com.
