Re: I want to skip post-script when backup job failed

Why don't you try End Of Session notifications?. You can set conditions there.

Post Exec script will always run.

Re: I want to skip post-script when backup job failed

Hi TaeSang

Probably I wasn't clear, sorry for that.

What I meant is that instead of using Post-Exec scripts and complicate them using conditionals, you can use the End Of Session notification to do the task.

When you configure a new End of Session notification, you can set input parameters (ie Session Status) and Value Parameter (ie Completed with Errors)
Then you configure a Send Notification which can be Send an Email, a SNMP trap or in your case an External Send Method.

The External Send Method allows you to run a Script located in \bin (windows) and /opt/omni/lbin (HP-UX).

What you can do is set your script to run after and specific Datalist End of Session if no errors reported.

You can find a lot of information on the Data Protector Administratorâ s Guide.

Good luck.
