Re: HP DP 8.10 Backup IDB : [Critical] From: OB2BAR_POSTGRES_BAR@ "DPIDB" archivelog filen

Check if in <omnidata>/server/db80/pg/postgreslq.conf, set "archive_mode = on“. If not set it to on and restart services and retry IDB backup.

Re: HP DP 8.10 Backup IDB : [Critical] From: OB2BAR_POSTGRES_BAR@ "DPIDB" archivelog filen

Is this a Linux or HP-UX cell manager? Please attach the <omnidata>/server/db80/pg/postgreslq.conf file for my reference. Could you collect the debugs omnib -idb_list <IDB_BACKUP> -debug 1-200 /tmp/IDB_BACKUP.txt? Please provide omnicheck -patches and postgres_bar.exe -version.

Regards,

Sebastian

Re: HP DP 8.10 Backup IDB : [Critical] From: OB2BAR_POSTGRES_BAR@ "DPIDB" archivelog filen

Just had a quick look at the debugs. From what I see someone did a IDB restore to the directory C:\HP Data Protector 8.1 Instalador\Backup IDB\IDB - 03-06-14. I can only imagine that the postgres_bar.exe does not handle the spaces in the path correctly. Before restore, the IDB was installed into C:\ProgramData\OmniBack\config\server. This does not look like a production cell, but you should call HP support if you want to have this fixed. Otherwise, start from scratch and avoid spaces in IDB path names during installation and restore.

Sebastian

Re: HP DP 8.10 Backup IDB : [Critical] From: OB2BAR_POSTGRES_BAR@ "DPIDB" archivelog filen

Dear Sebastian,

Before applying the patched bunble812, made a backup of the IDB disk to secure a restore if necessary. It was not made any restore after applying patche bundle812 and this problem occurred.

I will open a call at HP Software, and inform solution here in the post.

Thank you very much.

Rodrigo

Re: HP DP 8.10 Backup IDB : [Critical] From: OB2BAR_POSTGRES_BAR@ "DPIDB" archivelog filen

Dear prmarques,

You did a restore of the IDB to disk before applying pacthe 8.01? In my case this was the problem.

I needed to open an open call HP Support.
