Data Protector 8.0 and Linux i386 clients

Hi all,

How to install DP 8.0 DA on i386 Linux client locally. On Linux DVD there are only x86_x64 rpms.

Help.

TIA

Re: Data Protector 8.0 and Linux i386 clients

Trying to install locally is not easy to a 32 bit linux system, and neither is patching.

The best way would be to find a 64 bit Linux Server to make as a DP Installation Server.

Install and patch DP as the Installation Server, then push the code to the 32 bit Linux server.

It could be a virtual 64 bit Linux Server, in case that helps.

This document details a method. I'd imagine it has not changed.
