Take a look at the Notifications, in the reporting options.

Yes, I've looked, but I sent the emails, is there to do some special configuration?

The SMTP server must be specified in the global options file.

Re: Data Protector 6.11 email notificación

Can you telnet to this smtp server at port 25?
ex: telnet 10.10.10.1 25

Does this SMTP server accept relay from your Cell manager?
Did you restarted the omni services after changing the options file?

Re: Data Protector 6.11 email notificación

What are the reports fail me, sending notification alerts at work, with repoorts gives me this error:

12:5107

description:
Data Protector Was Unable to send e-mail Because MAPILogon call returned error.
Data Protector Needs a MAPI profile named OmniBack
in order to send e-mail notification.

Action:
Check if OmniBack profile exists on the Cell Manager That
Tried to send e-mail. The profile should be configured for the user
Which account under the CRS service is running.

Re: Data Protector 6.11 email notificación

The error states that a MAPI account ,outlook or whatever, is needed..., but this is becouse the sending method you had selected (e-mail send method) perhaps is not what you need, change it to "Email (SMTP) send" and retry.

Re: Data Protector 6.11 email notificación

You can get limited session information by using the 'omnirpt' function.  I adivse that you review the syntax of this connamd in the Command lIne Interpreter Guide, available in your GUI by clicking Help -> Guides

omnirpt -report list_sessions -timeframe [start] [duration] -smtp [e-mail address]

omnirpt -report session_errors  -timeframe [start] [duration] -smtp [e-mail address]

The '-timeframe [start] [duration]' can be expresses as either in relative terms, such as 'go back 24 hours, and give the result of the subsequent 24 hours', or stated another way, give me what has happened in the last day, where it would be expressed as '-timeframe 24 24' or it may be expressed in terms of Absolute time

These reports may be configured in the Reporting context of the GUI.  I would advise that you try running the reports from the command line first to see if they give you what you need

As I said, this gives limited session information. To get a full session report, you would need the session ID, and run the command

omnidb -session [session_id] -report          Do not include the [   ] marks

For example

         omnidb -session 2013/12/23-1 -report

This output can be redirected to a file, but there is no provision to send it by e-mail

Re: Data Protector 6.11 email notificación

I want to keep all session logs in detail (each) that was completed in "last 24 hrs / since date" like that. Is there any command in DP to save each and all session logs in a folder/directory?
