New forum URL shortcut

Hello,

With the old ITRC website I was able to use a shortcut URL to get to the home page:

forums.itrc.hp.com

When I try the same shortcut today I get redirected to the announcement page about the merger.  Is there a new URL shortcut that I can use in my browser to go to this forums homepage?

Re: New forum URL shortcut

John,

There are a few different urls you can use to reach the new community:

http://h30499.www3.hp.com

http://www.hp.com/enterprise/community

We're also considering a /go/ jumpstation that would be a bit shorter and easier to enter/remember - I'll post here with any updates on the availability for that.

I work for HP.

Re: New forum URL shortcut

Thanks Kevin,

Its too bad I have to choose between a long one and an ugly one.  Oh well, I'll get used to it.

I look forward to the /go/ URL if you ever decide to implement one.

In the past it was really easy to get to the page, for example if i was working in another computer, I just had to remember "itrc.hp.com" and I was right there, accesing really useful information.

Is it possible to create a URL easy to remember like the mentioned one ?

Re: New forum URL shortcut

Oh jeez, so there are two support websites now too?

I had always gone to http://support.hp.com.  What is the difference between that website and http://hp.com/go/hpsc ?

You've heard of this new-fangled idea called bookmarks haven't you?  ;-)

Or keep a browser tab up 24x7.

One says: 24/7 Online support for HP's Home and Home Office Products

The HPSC doesn't say much.

Re: New forum URL shortcut

pshh...Bookmarks/favorites are for newbs...

URL shortcuts can be just as convenient if you only want to navigate to the homepage of a website.  Its a personal preference that I have built over the years.

Hi again,

support.hp.com = hp.com/cposupport = consumer product support

hp.com/go/hpsc = HP Support Center

f.e. yo will not find a superdom on the consumer site.

hth,

Stephan
