10.00.02 supplies memory error

hi guys,

I have a color laserjet 5500, that was working fine a day ago, but after shifting the printer to release some network cable it hasnt been the same since.

all the other toners are fine no issue there with them, but if i swap the toners over then two toners dont work

is there a way for the printer to ignore this error and print regardless.

Is it the printer itself or the toner cartridge faulty which is just 77% full.

Look for two little GOLD contact plates on the outside rear of the toners....

Re: 10.00.02 supplies memory error

And now I must admit to you that I don't have a 5550 toner to look at....This doesn't look like the one's I'm familiar with, but could be....There would be one on every toner....

Re: 10.00.02 supplies memory error

Well I moved the magenta toner into the black slot, and it showed error 10.00.00 so that is more than to convince me that its the chip.

because I place the black back into the machine, and it clears the 10.00.00 error and that slot is a known working slot.

Re: 10.00.02 supplies memory error

What cured this problem was a replacement of the memory chip on the toner cartridge.

So I have a fully functional Color LaserJet 5500DTN.

Now how do I bring the level back as it was before it failed.

Re: 10.00.02 supplies memory error

How did you replace the memory chip? I have the same error message (only 10.00.00, for my black cartridge) that has just appeared. The printer was moved a week ago but worked fine for one day.
