Re: Deleting packages and resources from Radia and Taking Backup of CSDB

hi,

If you need to delete the entire packages from command line - then there's zedmams keywork 'package=yes":

zedmams verb=delete_instance,domain=software,class=package,instance=test1,package=yes,preview=no

Then you may want to delete zservice.

Configuration server should be stopped.

Dmitry.

Re: How to take Backup of CSDB

To backup the configuration server's database you simply need to stop the service and make a copy of the database folder. The database is usually stored in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HPCA\Data\ConfigurationServer\DB. The path can be found from DBPATH variable within configurationserver\bin\edmprof.dat file.

Re: How to take Backup of CSDB

By the way, you may change DBPATH to the folder where you have a backup copy, restart the service and you'll get the backup database being used. May be useful for testing... But backup edmprof.dat first and use notepad (not wordpad) for editing.

Re: How to take Backup of CSDB

Did you stop the ConfigurationServer before running the zedmams command?

Re: How to take Backup of CSDB

Hi all,

You have more details on how to run a HPCA backup in the migration guide. The idea is to use the hpcabackup script.

For example, the 8.10 migration guide is available in this link.

Thanks!
Maria
