At what point does the install fail?
Does the same command line run if you do the install outside of CA?

I had created a .Bat file & tried running this script outside the application. There this command line is working .

I am attaching the batch script.

Re: Windows 7 Service pack1 packaging & Distribution

for your create method - i'm not sure you have the qoutes in the correct place at the start of the cmdline. try...

NATIVE "d:\Win7SP1\windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe" /unattend /nodialog /promptrestart

You're using a long file name so shouldn't this be inclosed in quotes?

Karl.

Re: Windows 7 Service pack1 packaging & Distribution

This may sound like a stupid question, but is the EXE getting delivered into the D:\Win7SP1 folder?

If so, does the installation start but then fail, or does nothing happen at all?

You say "folder is getting created", but is the EXE file being put into it, or do you simply get an empty folder?

Is there a reason that you don't want to deploy it through patch management?  Just curious.

I am using the following command line to install SP1 from C:\Temp

C:\Temp\Windows6.1-KB976932-x86.exe /quiet /promptrestart
