New ZSERVICE folder location?

[ Edited ]

Hi has anyone ever encountered HPCA creating a separate ZSERVICE folder with the computer name?

For example :

C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HPCA\Agent\Lib\2UA2371LXS\Radia\SOFTWARE\ZSERVICE   instead of using the normal  c:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HPCA\Agent\Lib\SYSTEM\RADIA\SOFTWARE\ZSERVICE

Re: New ZSERVICE folder location?

Hi,

It depends on the command line arguments used for running agent connect? are you using uid=$MACHIne in your connect. In that case the value gets replaced with the hostname ( computer name).

It appears to be a replica or backup of the Agent/Lib/System folder. Is there any process or interruption would generate this?

This is what we call when running a connection.

dname=SOFTWARE,cat=prompt,context=m,ulogon=n,uid=$MACHINE,startdir=SYSTEM,ind=y,mnt=y,cop=y

It works fine and puts it in the SYSTEM folder.  We just see one offs where it makes a  replica or backup of the Agent/Lib/System folder with the computer name.
