Changing core server

Hi,

In our setup, we are changing core server which would have a new hostname and IP address. How can we point all existing agents to communicate with new core server.

Re: Changing core server

Hi,

Attached is one document that was created earlier for the following requirements :

1. Modifying places where the old hostname is referred from within the Core machine.

2. Modifying satellite to point to the new core.

3. Modifying agents to point to the new Core.

4. Updating RMA

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Praveen

Re: Changing core server

Hi,

Did that help? If yes then let me know so that we can use the suggestions in a generic manner. Also , if there were any changes that you had to make please add those also so that I can update the document accordingly.

Thanks,
Praveen

Re: Changing core server

Hi,

We used "rcsuri=tcp://newcoreip:3464, datauri=http://newcoreip:3466, cop=y" in the radskman command line to point agents to new core server
