Business Service Management (BAC/BSM/APM/NNM)

More than everything monitoring, BSM provides the means to determine how IT impacts the bottom line. Its purpose and main benefit is to ensure that IT Operations are able to reactively and proactively determine where they should be spending their time to best impact the business. This covers event management to solve immediate issues, resource allocation and through reporting performance based on the data of applications, infrastructure, networks and from third-party platforms. BSM includes powerful analytics that gives IT the means to prepare, predict and pinpoint by learning behavior and analyzing IT data forward and backwards in time using Big Data Analytics applied to IT Operations.

Virtualization management in minutes-- all for FREE!

The goal of any good tool is to make your job easier. That means it should be easy to set-up and use, and it should make daily tasks simpler. When it comes to IT operations management tools (ITOM) and virtualization management, this hasn’t always been the case. HP is working to address this issue. We are introducing new FREE tools that you can download, install and begin using in minutes, not hours or days.

getting started with VpV.pngOne of these tools is called Virtualization Performance Viewer or vPV for short. We did a recent survey of over 600 vPV users, and 92 percent said they installed and started seeing benefits from vPV in less than 30 minutes. We were glad to hear that, but we wanted users to see the benefits even faster.  To help speed up your install, we created this short video. Now you can see just how easy it is to get up and running with vPV. You can experience “fun in 15 minutes” with vPV.

So easy even a marketing guy can do it

To demonstrate that vPV really is “virtualization management for dummies”, they asked me, the marketing guy, to do the demo. It really is easy to download vPV, install it, and begin using it very quickly.  (OK, I’ll admit I had a technical expert helping me behind the scenes in the video.)

Anyway, if you’re a systems engineer, sys admin, virtualization administrator, cloud administrator or anyone else that needs to  manage virtualized and cloud environments and troubleshoot performance problems, you’ll find this is a piece of cake. But don’t take my word for it; I’m just a marketing guy.

Best of all – this is a free tool. Just watch the video below and go to for more information. You can also go straight to the download and try HP vPV today!
