Is your end-user experience all it could be?

Turkish bank Yapı ve Kredi Bankası (YKB) had a dilemma. Service availability from an IT perspective looked good, but in the branches, end users were experiencing outages and performance issues. YKB implemented the HP application performance management (APM) solution to gain visibility into the health of its banking services from the end users’ perspective. Instead of taking a system-based approach to monitoring, the bank now monitors the entire business service, with a clear view of all the IT components that support the service.

This has accelerated root-cause analysis and enabled the bank to speed incident resolution times from an hour to approximately ten minutes. Service availability levels have increased from 98.5 to 99.9 percent for core banking systems, and from 99.65 to 99.92 for Internet banking services.
