Lloyds Banking Group puts Service into Systems Management

Business Track Session

November 30, 2010 18:00-18:45

Join Jonathan Fielder-White as he explains the journey a company must make from going from a systems management mindset, and one that monitors the state of infrastructure, to that of service management is often held up by a number of challenges. Most of these are so obvious that we don't see them. This presentation is an anecdotal journey based on my experience of the challenges we faced to deliver HP BAC including (a) Why we needed Service Management, a short 2 minute slideshow. (b) The different approaches to funding the solution, being bounced between the business and IT budgets, and the consequences of this. (c) The challenges of scope, what to deliver and when, and the potential challenges that will be faced who are stuck in the Systems Management mindset. (d) The value in identifying value, the ROI models involved (or not as the case may be). Where we are today, and why I believe it is a success, and still has so much more to offer, HP BAC v9, synergies with HP SM7/9 etc.
