I am trying to install an Epson Stylus Photo 750 through an available USB port
on my HP Brio 8177.
The plugs are in the back of my machine.
I am running Windows 98.
I was told that when I upgraded to Windows 98 that the USB ports would
automatically be available.
The USB ports don't show up anwhere in my system device manager.
Is there something I'm missing here?
Where can I find out info on USB ports and activating them?
Where would they show up if they were active?
The printer installation instructions outline hooking everything up, turning on
the computer and the printer and the computer should recognize there is a new
printer and prompt you to install it automatically.
Been there, done that, and nothing happens.
I am an experienced computer user and have tried all the obvious, easy stuff.
Where's my USB?

Have you cleared the CMOS and download the SP1 for Win98. If your using SE, you may use Windows Update and look for an Update due to the issues of USB devices.
