New Hard disk for HP vectra VL 400 DT

I want to buy a new harddisk for my desktop. Are there any restrictions on the size (max. capacity) ? (The hard disk now is 10 GB).
When installing the new hard disk, do I need to upgrade the BIOS ? If yes, how do I do this ?
Thanks in advance

Re: New Hard disk for HP vectra VL 400 DT

I'm running a VL400 DT with a Pentium III 733mhz.
I have 2 80GB harddrives in my pc, 1 DVD player and 1 DVD +/- RW drive.
I don't know what you are planning to upgrade to, but I think you won't have any trouble with the harddrive.
You should connect the harddrive and CLEAR CMOS.
Your system should boot fine.

Hope I helped you,

Jesper

Hi
You can see it here:

For IDE drive it seems to be 137 Mb.
