Boot from PCI Device

[ Edited ]

I have a Compaq Deskpro EP/SB with a Compaq 041Ch motherboard.

I've recently added a Promise Ultra100 ATA Controller with a 80GB drive.

Is there a way to boot from the 80GB drive plugged to the Promise card?

Re: Boot from PCI Device

Hi SPIKE!
In the System BIOS (settings)/Boot Menu, you should see option to select Primary boot controller.
If Promise Ultra100 ATA Controller is listed, you can set that as Primary, and it should be able to boot from drive you would attch to this controller.

Please assign points if you think information provided was useful!

Cheers!
