video card upgrade

I have a 8674d and have been trying to get a new geo force 4 mx 440ddr AGP video card to work. I have updated the BIOS and chipset software. When I install the card I get nothing but a beep followed by three beeps and a blank screen. Anybody have a clue or a card with TV out that works?

Re: video card upgrade

When you get to that other section, run a few searches for threads that refer to ddr video cards. Most or all of the people writing in about these simply are never able to get them to work with the computers of about this age.

You would have better luck with a TNT2-M64 video card.

Re: video card upgrade

Miss Kathi, Im Joe from Lima Perú.

I have a Pavilion a1500la with a PCI Express slot for a video card...

Recently I got a Nvidia N210 512mb DDR2.

It doesnt work. The computer freezed at startup.

The mainboard has an Ati Chipset Onboard Video.

If I install any Ati Radeon PCI Express Card, like :

XFX DVI/HDMI/VGA Radeon HD 4350 512MB DDR2

  could work?

Best regards,

Joe.
