identify compaq evo model type

I have a Compaq Evo tower and need to be able to identify the correct model so I can download drivers.

Re: identify compaq evo model type

If there are no external stickers, then download and run Belarc advisor and it will tell you the compaq model # and motherboard serial # so you can go to HP's support site.

Belarc also will tell you more about the specific components you have on board.

Re: identify compaq evo model type

Try popping open the side panel. There's usually a sticker underneath with info and board layout.

Motherboard has a serial # printed on it. You can use that to search for HP parts and get a model #. I'm not sure if any other info is printed on the motherboard if it's the original from HP.

Re: identify compaq evo model type

Thanks for the good tips!

I was able to identify my pc and download patches and updates. By the way the Berlac tools sure comes in handy.

Carlos
