hp dc7800 5 beeps problem

Hi everyone,

Thank HP for beeps code, so at least, i can know that my pc is not completely death.

I've got an hp7800, it went well until this morning, when i start it up: 5 beeps with 5 red led fired. i have checked out the manual and did change memory for working HP memory. But when i started it up, 5 beeps still remained.

Have anyone has the same issu and what can it be a solution ?

Ps: i have also tried to resolve the problem in putting in other working video card. But still have 5 beeps.

:(

Re: hp dc7800 5 beeps problem

I have had this problem before and I have traced it down to a power supply failure. If you replace your power supply everything should work okay.

I had that problem.  Opened the box, completely removed the RAM, reseated them firmly, restarted and it works fine.
