Tried every driver from HP's website and none work.
Hardware ID is:
Trying to load windows xp pro on this computer and I'm stuck on the ethernet driver. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know why several of the Intel NIC drivers don't work on the HP support sites but that problem does not just lie with the 6000 Pro's.
Download and install the XP driver directly from Intel, and you should be fine. First file listed is for XP 32 bit.

The HP Compaq 6000 Pro uses an Intel nic and drivers should work. In some cases the softpaq may not actually install (happens rarely but it does happen :-( ). I would recommend you download and run the latest drvier available for the desktop, sp58035.exe. Then, in Windows Device Manager, point to the C:\SWSETUP\SP56035\... location to update the driver directly from there. Right click on the Intel network in Device Manager and select Update Driver.
Best, however, is to use the Softpaq Download Manager (www.hp.com/go/sdm) to install all available and needed updates for your systems. Just a note of caution to only select and update h/w driver and BIOS (needs to be done independent of any other updates) with SDM
Hope this helps

Had the same issue. Used Network Adapter Drivers for Windows XP*, Final Release from Intel and it worked just fine.
The driver name is PRO2K3XP_32.exe or PRO2K3XP_x64.exe version 18.3 and it's for 82567LM NIC.
